About this tool
IconVault's Geolocation Playground connects to the real Geolocation API (`navigator.geolocation`): your live latitude and longitude, the accuracy radius drawn as a circle on the map, speed and heading as you move, and a movement trail that records where you have been. Draw a geofence and the lab fires enter and exit alerts when you cross its boundary. It is free and runs fully in your browser.
Geolocation only works with your permission, and only in a secure context (HTTPS or localhost). You will learn the difference between `getCurrentPosition()` and `watchPosition()`, why accuracy swings from a few meters outdoors to hundreds indoors, and the sensible options: `enableHighAccuracy`, `timeout` and `maximumAge`. The lab also covers the privacy angle: always explain why you need a location before asking, and never store precise coordinates you do not need.
