Pointer Events Playground - Free Online Tool | IconVault
Explore real PointerEvents: pressure, tilt, twist and multi-touch trails with live readouts and a 10s session report. Free, runs in your browser.
Pointer Events
Pressure/tilt visualization with multi-input trails
Input pad - draw with anything
Multi-touch works here: each finger gets its own trail
Live pointer readouts
Touch the pad - each pointerId shows its live values.
Mouse pressure is always 0.5 (no sensor), touch pressure is a 0-1 approximation, and pen devices with a stylus report real pressure, tilt and twist. Coalesced events show how many movements were batched per frame.
About this tool
IconVault's Pointer Events Playground turns your screen into an instrument for the Pointer Events API. Draw with mouse, fingers, and stylus on the input pad: every pointerId gets its own color-coded trail whose width follows pressure, while live readout cards show the raw values your browser reports (pressure, tiltX, tiltY, twist, contact size, and coalesced event counts). A 10-second session recorder captures event rates and maxima into an exportable JSON report. It is free and runs fully in your browser.
Pointer Events unify mouse, touch, and pen input into one API, but the data quality differs wildly per device, which is exactly what this lab reveals: mouse pressure is always 0.5, touch pressure is an approximation, and a real stylus reports genuine pressure and tilt. Watching coalesced events per frame teaches you how the browser batches high-frequency movement, knowledge that matters for smooth drawing apps and gesture recognizers.
